EVS Lead- Evenings- Full Time
Job Duties
Supervises and leads Environmental Services Aides to maintain assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
Assigns personnel, equipment and supplies in an efficient and effective manner so that maximum utilization of resources is attained in carrying out housekeeping operations and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness while promoting a cooperative effort on the part of those involved in accomplishing these activities.
Collaborates with management to conduct employee training and/or development with performance standards, teamwork and customer service criteria.
Responds immediately to defects, deficiencies and/or customer complaints and follows through in-service recovery, service resolution and follow-up.
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
Physical and Environmental Demands
Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue.
The incumbent works in a patient care area; works in an area where patients enter; works directly with patients; and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases.
There may be an occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
Qualifications
Education Required - None
Work Experience Preferred - High School diploma or equivalent
Required - 1 Year Housekeeping Experience.
Preferred - Health care or hotel experience
