EVS Housekeeper Porter

About the role

We are seeking a(an) EVS Housekeeper Porter for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine manual tasks to clean and care for an assigned area, to include but not limited to the linen room and/or waste handling on a daily basis;
• Cleaning and care related to areas in public assembly areas, and patient care areas, therapy areas, halls and foyers;
• Performing cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms on a daily basis, offices, rest rooms, and other public places as needed and requested;
• Removing trash, dirty linen from rooms and sharps containers from respective locations in and around the hospital;
• Following all standard procedures in the safe disposal of infectious and hazardous waste materials.

Qualifications

• Healthcare or service-related industry experience is highly preferred;
• Experience working with hazardous waste materials is a plus;
• Must have good communication skills with the ability to speak and understand both the written and oral English language;
• Must have the proven ability to work and cooperate with team members and with other departments, as necessary.

Schedule

Medical City Lewisville is a full-service 190+ bed medical and surgical facility. We offer a broad spectrum of care to the communities of southern Denton County.
