EVS Floor Care - Full Time - Days

About the role

We're looking for a Full-Time Day Shift EVS Floor Care professional to join our team at Ochsner St. Mary. Under the direction of the Environmental Services Supervisor, this position performs project cleaning activities and supports various areas including patient, clinical, public, and administrative zones.

Responsibilities

• Maintain VCT floors and carpet floors according to Environmental Services standards.
• Maintain Environmental Services closets and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Assist with cleaning projects and work as a team.
• Exhibit effective judgment and decision-making skills.
• Assume responsibility for attendance and personal appearance.

Requirements

• Experience operating Environmental Service equipment, including Automatic Scrubber, Battery Burnisher, Electrical Burnisher, All Purpose Matador, and Carpet Extractor.
• Basic knowledge of VCT floor care and carpet floor care.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning, and cleaning equipment/supplies.
• Flexible scheduling ability.
• Good listening and following directions skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of VCT floor care and carpet floor care.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning, and cleaning equipment/supplies.
• Ability to work flexible schedules.
• Ability to listen and take direction.

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

Physical and Environmental Demands

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work.
