About the role

Under close supervision, the Custodian performs cleaning duties in assigned areas of the facility in both patient and non‑patient areas; is responsible for cleaning and safeguarding of assigned areas; is responsible for assigned equipment; is responsible for determining supplies needed; is responsible for efficient usage of supplies; delivers clean linen and picks up soiled linen.

Requirements

• Able to perform all cleaning/custodial functions including mopping, pushing/pulling carts, wall washing, vent cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Understand procedures for proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemotherapy and infectious/bio‑hazardous waste.
• Understand basic safety regulations and issues.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial experience in a healthcare setting or hospitality environment.
• Customer service training or experience.

Skills

• Ability to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
• Ability to bend, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Must pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.

Pay

Hiring Pay Scale: $26.69 per hour. Annual Full Pay Range: $55,729 – $69,280 (prorated if appointment

Schedule

Work Schedule: Days, 8‑Hour Shifts, Variable.
