Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures the gaming complex remains clean, sanitary, and presentable at all times.
- Performs deep cleaning of all Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) kitchen equipment, stainless-steel surfaces, and additional high-use areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all FOH and BOH areas and equipment in accordance with established standards and leadership direction.
- Cleans floors in assigned public and employee areas, which includes all front and back of the casino.
- According to periodic maintenance schedule, shampoos and extracts carpets.
- Informs the EVS Manager of any needed cleaning supplies or maintenance concerns.
- Provides supplementary help to Facility and Grounds department including but not limited to: painting, laying carpet, dusting ceilings, etc.
- Conducts routine floor, wall, and surface cleaning to ensure a safe, sanitary environment at all times.
- Manages waste disposal for assigned areas, including proper handling, removal, and organization of waste materials.
- Communicates inventory or supply needs to kitchen leadership and promptly reports any equipment issues or irregularities.
- Demonstrates a reliable, positive work ethic and takes responsibility for additional tasks as needed to support operations.
- Ensures the physical condition of the facility is maintained to health, safety, and cleanliness standards through assigned cleaning tasks.
- Adheres strictly to all operating procedures, safety guidelines, PPE requirements and company policies including Minimum Internal Control Standards and all Fiscal Policies and Procedures.
Job Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Two (2) years’ experience in custodial or housekeeping duties.
- Six (6) months of commercial carpet, tile, or floor care experience.
- OR Six (6) months of experience in a casino EVS, custodial, or housekeeping position.
- Must have experience with carpet cleaning process with-in the past 12 months.
- Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition.
- Must participate in departmental training (ex: hard surface, carpet surface, etc.).
- Must obtain certification in lift training annually.
- Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
- Must be willing and able to work in the presence of solvents and cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to climb a ladder to perform overhead work.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum of twenty-five (25) pounds up to two (2) hours.
- Must be able to push or pull or maneuver a minimum of five (5) to sixty (60) pounds to assigned areas.
- Must be able to walk or stand for 100% of assigned shift.
- Uses dexterity and gross motor skills continually; Frequently bends, pulls, pushes, lifts, and reaches above shoulders; Occasionally kneels, climbs, and crawls in order to work in difficult positions.
- Must have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required.
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
- Must be willing and able to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, & overtime as required.
- Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position.
- Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment, holidays, weekends and nights.
