About the Role
EVS Attendant I is responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of the gaming complex, including machines, bathrooms, and offices located at the casino. EVS personnel produce the highest quality of cleanliness in all areas following established procedures.

Responsibilities
- Ensures the gaming complex stays clean and sanitized
- Vacuums, mops, sweeps, dusts, cleans wood, glass, pictures, doors, tables, chairs, slot machines, carpets, and any surface
- Responsible for cleanliness of floors in assigned public and employee areas, including all front and back of the casino
- Maintains and cleans equipment used; uses equipment properly
- Shampoos and extracts carpets according to periodic maintenance schedule
- Informs the EVS Manager of any needed cleaning supplies or maintenance concerns
- Reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to Supervisor/Manager
- Ensures all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required, or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Must be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum of twenty-five (25) pounds for up to two (2) hours
- Must be able to push, pull, or maneuver a minimum of five (5) to sixty (60) pounds to assigned areas
- Must be able to walk or stand for 100% of assigned shift
- Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
- Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals
- Must be willing and able to work in the presence of solvents and cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to climb a ladder to perform overhead work
- Ability to tolerate areas containing dust, second-hand smoke, bright lights, and loud noises
- Uses dexterity and gross motor skills continually; frequently bends, pulls, pushes, lifts, and reaches above shoulders; occasionally kneels, climbs, and crawls in difficult positions
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
- Must be willing and able to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board
Pay
Base pay compensation: $15.00–$20.63 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills.
