About the role

As a Housekeeping Associate (EVS Assoc PRN) at Ogden Regional Medical Center, you will make a difference in patients’ lives with a kind word and friendly smile while providing essential housekeeping services. You will join a unified, caring team dedicated to improving the community and maintaining a clean, safe environment throughout the hospital.

Ogden Regional Medical Center is a 230‑plus‑bed hospital, a certified Level II Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Joint Center, with an affiliated Pleasant View Emergency Center offering 24/7 emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, offices, stairways, elevators, and other areas by providing housekeeping services.
• Ensure optimum sanitation and a clean environment throughout the hospital.
• Utilize specialized cleaning techniques and a variety of cleaning devices.
• Follow all established personal protective equipment (PPE) policies when handling chemicals or cleaning, including wearing gloves, masks, aprons, etc.
• Use appropriate safety and protective equipment and supplies when handling hazardous waste or chemicals.
• Follow a daily cleaning schedule according to area needs.
• Complete special projects as assigned by the department director or supervisor.
• Participate in staff meetings and actively engage in performance‑improvement activities.
• Ensure customer quality expectations are met and provide courteous, caring service to all customers.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and tools is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
