This role oversees cleanliness in all casino areas (public spaces, back of house, restrooms) except kitchens, bars, and food service/preparation areas, and manages wardrobe operations. Responsibilities include short-term daily to weekly operations and mid-term (30-60-90-day) planning, all within Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, motivate, evaluate, and direct all EVS supervisory staff and wardrobe personnel.
- Develop, implement, and maintain superior cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Resorts to develop and manage the department budget.
- Monitor inventory and supplies; recommend purchases.
- Schedule EVS and wardrobe staff effectively to meet business needs.
- Control expenses and labor in accordance with monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
- Approve payroll and time-off requests.
- Ensure staff training and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Organize and safely store chemicals and equipment in designated areas.
- Maintain inventory controls for equipment, cleaning products, radios, and wardrobe-related items.
- Establish uniform inventory pars for timely ordering and coordinate uniform needs with department managers.
- Organize the wardrobe inventory room and train new employees on uniform receiving, storage, and issuing.
- Ensure MSDS information is available to all employees.
- Research and recommend periodic replacement or purchase of cleaning equipment.
- Monitor and ensure proper maintenance of all equipment.
- Maintain the documented property-wide inspection program, issue, and track work orders for repairs/cleanings.
- Maintain cyclical cleaning programs.
- Adhere to Purchasing, HR, and TERO compliance requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons and communicate professionally at all times.
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Complete all required SGC training programs within nine months of employment.
- Attend necessary meetings.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- At least five years of Environmental Services management experience in a high-traffic, large facility, overseeing a team of no fewer than 10.
- Proficiency with cleaning equipment and chemicals, including heavy-duty equipment.
- Equipment knowledge and troubleshooting ability to communicate repair needs to Facilities and/or vendors.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Moderately loud to loud noise levels, especially on the casino floor.
- Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and potentially toxic or caustic chemicals; must handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move through all casino areas for extended periods.
- Physical stamina and mental resilience to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment.
- Adequate manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment.
- Work environment permits smoking.
Pay
Starting rate: $55,612.00. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
