About the role

Pilgrim’s is a leading global provider of high-quality food products, including well-recognized brands and value-added premium products. Located in Arcadia, WI, Pilgrim’s offers a hometown feel within its complex, employing approximately 500 team members.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Auto Transfer Table lines and keep shackles full while identifying and removing Septic birds.
  • Sort birds at a rate of 35+ BPM on the Gizzard Table.
  • Identify and remove yellow peel, injesta, and bile contaminated gizzards at a rate of 210 gizzards per minute.
  • Properly salvage, vacuum, and wash birds according to FSQA requirements.
  • Perform Final Trim by identifying and removing undesired defects.
  • Communicate effectively with Leadership and Process Control regarding any flock, bird, or equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with USDA personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Non-essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Flexibility to work in changing environments and adjust to various production demands.
  • May be asked to rotate to positions between departments or positions.
  • Processes product using tools and equipment provided in accordance with USDA and Pilgrim’s product standards and procedures.
  • Applies proper personal hygiene and hand washing.
  • Processes product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.

  • Ability to think for oneself and apply common sense when needed.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to learn and remember product specifications.
  • Good hand and eye coordination.
  • Analytical skills preferred on an intermediate level.
  • Food or production experience preferred.
  • Desire for continuous improvement preferred.

Pay

This position starts at $21.22/hour, plus $1.50/hour Shift Differential!

Schedule

The position is available for Night Shift work.
