About the Role

The rehanger is responsible for removing birds from the belt and transferring them to a moving shackle line, where they are placed on the shackle and hung by the hock. This involves lifting birds weighing up to 15 lbs and suspending them until properly hung. The role requires working from an elevated, stationary platform with repetitive use of both hands, arms, and wrists. Team members must stand, reach, lift, and pull downward repeatedly while working in a hot, humid environment.

Responsibilities

• Remove birds from the belt and transfer them to a moving shackle line.
• Hang birds by the hock on shackles, ensuring proper suspension.
• Perform repetitive lifting of up to 15 lbs.
• Work from an elevated platform in a hot, humid environment.
• Stand, reach, lift, and pull downward for extended periods.

Requirements

• Ability to work collaboratively and adhere to Tyson's safety culture.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• 180-day waiting period before reapplying if previously employed at Tyson.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods three or more times are not eligible for rehire.
• Current Tyson team members interested in transferring must express interest through their local HR Partner.

Pay

Starting pay: $17.20 per hour.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
