Events Team Member
About the role
The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library is seeking energetic, hospitality-focused team members to support a variety of events throughout the year. Events Team Members help create exceptional guest experiences by assisting with event setup and teardown, serving food and beverages, and bartending when qualified.
Responsibilities
- Set up tables, chairs, linens, service stations, buffet lines, bar stations, and event equipment
- Auxiliary with room resets and event space preparation
- Break down and clean event spaces following events
- Transport and organize event supplies and equipment
- Serve food and beverages in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas throughout events
- Replenish supplies and assist guests as needed
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Set up and maintain bar stations
- Verify legal drinking age and practice responsible alcohol service
- Follow all applicable alcohol service laws and regulations
- Deliver friendly, responsive, and professional service
- Anticipate guest needs and contribute to a positive event experience
- Represent the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library with professionalism and hospitality excellence
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old to for Events roles
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol in North Dakota
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to work on-site in Medora, North Dakota
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work in variable indoor/outdoor event environments
- Ability to obtain required alcohol service certification (provided if needed)
Benefits
This is a part-time, as-needed position and is not benefit-eligible. Hourly compensation is $24/hour, commensurate with experience. Opportunities for increased hours during peak seasons and major programming periods.
