About the role
The Production Team Lead oversees the setup and breakdown of event equipment and infrastructure, manages a team of installers, drives vehicles to transport equipment, provides customer service, and ensures all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Oversee setup and breakdown of event equipment and infrastructure
- Lead a team of installers

- Physically set up and dismantle event equipment according to event diagrams and instructions
- Interact with Sales Project Managers and clients to understand requirements and ensure needs are met
- Address issues and challenges during event setup or breakdown, finding solutions efficiently
Requirements
- Versed in event elements like audiovisual equipment, furniture, tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, drape, hardware, and other décor
- Able to follow instructions, both written and verbal, and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and direct a team
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as the ability to work long hours and handle the physical demands of event setup and takedown
- Detail-oriented to ensure accurate setup and takedown of equipment
- Computer literate and comfortable using a computer for various tasks, preferably proficient in Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite)
- Expertise in, and the ability to teach others, the proper use and care of hand and power tools with the knowledge of principles, techniques, methods, and equipment used in live events
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to be clear and concise via phone, email, and in person
- Strong time management skills with adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and the ability to manage numerous concurrent projects
- Possess good judgment, sensitivity, analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work enthusiastically with a wide range of individuals to foster productive partnerships and relationships, both internally and externally
- Able to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
- Must be tenacious, flexible, and exhibit good humor under pressure
- Able to safely load, unload, and transport event equipment using appropriate vehicles like box trucks and vans
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation required

- Able to work steadily and physically for long periods of time
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your hands, arms and legs, and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials for a prolonged period of time

- Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Able to operate hand and power tools
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs without assistance

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in event production, installation, or related field
- Experience with audiovisual equipment, furniture, tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, drape, hardware, and other décor
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Experience with Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite)
