About the role

The Events & Community Engagement Manager oversees monthly member events, neighborhood initiatives in West and South Louisville, and five major public-facing events each year. Key responsibilities include:

  • Dream up and execute member meetups, workshops, happy hours, panel chats.
  • Hunt down great venues, fabulous food, and speakers.
  • Spread the word in fun, creative ways.
  • Own the planning, production, and day-of magic for five major public events.
  • Work with vendors, volunteers, and sponsors.
  • Build timelines that run smoothly and come in on time.
  • Become a familiar, friendly face to members, partners, volunteers, and everyone who loves local.
  • Coordinate monthly huddles of West and South teams of committed volunteers.
  • Help people feel like they’re part of something bigger.
  • Team up with marketing folks on event promotions, graphics, storytelling, and social content.
  • Communicate clearly, solve problems quickly, and laugh easily.
  • Be cool with working the occasional evening or weekend event.
  • Have a knack for making things feel welcoming, polished, and fun.
