About the role
Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring Event Staff for multiple part-time openings in Norfolk, VA (open to candidates from surrounding cities). This role involves working flexible shifts—evenings and weekends—at sports stadiums, concerts, festivals, and convention centers. No prior experience is needed, and you’ll earn $15 per hour with weekly pay.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
- Manage guest entry by collecting/scanning tickets, verifying wristbands/badges, and directing foot traffic.
- Follow venue-specific policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Greet guests warmly, provide directions, and enhance their experience with friendly, professional interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness, operational efficiency, and upkeep of designated areas.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Must pass a background check, drug/alcohol test, and (if required) a driver’s record check.
- Professional demeanor with strong verbal/written communication and independent judgment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
