About the role
Allied Universal Event Services is hiring Event Staff for the upcoming Local Interstate Fair 2026 in Spokane, WA. This position involves duties such as collecting tickets, welcoming and ushering guests, providing superior customer service, directing foot traffic, and ensuring the cleanliness and operational efficiency of designated areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
- Allow appropriate entry into each venue; collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, and direct traffic.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
- Initiate a genuine, friendly, and personal greeting to guests as they arrive and a sincere thank you as you complete each interaction.
- Provide guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
- Interact with guests using a smile, natural speaking voice, and friendly tone.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; may be required to pass a Driver’s Record check.
- Must be professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
Pay
- Day/Swing Shifts: $21.00/hour
- Overnight Shifts: $23.00/hour
- Training Rate: $17.13/hour for orientation and required training
- Pay frequency: Weekly
Schedule
- Event Dates: September 11–20, 2026
- Flexible shift options available (part-time, under 30 hours/week)
