Event Set Up Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Reports to Operations Manager/Supervisor
  • Cleans and maintains ALL areas of the event / facilities inside and out.
  • Sets up and tears down all events according to event needs and the standards of conference center/operations.
  • Cleans and maintains conference event/facilities including storage and staging areas to standards of event
  • Responsible for the facility required janitorial duties before and after events
  • Maintain, assemble, and store facility equipment.
  • Continually assess and ensure employee and patron safety in the arena
  • Prepares all event space prior to events
  • Tears down all event space after events
  • Follows Event Orders
  • Maintains a knowledge of various types of set-ups
  • Assists with all set-up functions may include, but are not limited to, setting tables, chairs, draping tables, and any decor
  • Removes centerpieces/decor/tables/chairs after events and stores appropriately
  • Removes soil linens and stores appropriately
  • Attends required division and department meetings
  • Maintains the cleanliness of storage rooms
  • Assembles dance floors
  • Ranges buffets, stages and podiums
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Must be flexible
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to work others (Teamwork)
