About the role
Join Allied Universal® Event Services as an Event Security professional in New Orleans. Be part of the city’s vibrant festivals, concerts, and sporting events while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests. This part-time position offers a starting rate of $15.50 per hour with weekly pay and the flexibility to create your own schedule. Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
- Allow appropriate entry into venues by checking tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing traffic.
- Screen guests during entry via bag searches, hand wands, metal detectors, and ID verification.
- Protect guests, staff, and venue assets by monitoring for security breaches at vital checkpoints.
- Respond quickly to potential crowd control issues and provide escorts for unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
- Demonstrate understanding of venue-specific policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide a positive guest experience by offering helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their visit.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; additional screening may apply if driving a customer or company-owned vehicle.
- Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
