Event Management Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated student who is interested in planning and coordinating live events. In this internship, you will gain hands-on exposure to concerts, sporting events, professional development events, and the planning work that helps each event run smoothly. We are Turning Stone Enterprises, a dynamic organization with a diverse range of business operations. Among our prominent offerings is the Turning Stone Resort Casino, which has received the prestigious Best of New York Gaming Resort award for an impressive six consecutive years. Complementing this flagship property, we operate satellite casinos like YBR Casino & Sports Book, Point Place Casino Hotel, and The Lake House at Sylvan Beach. Beyond gaming and hospitality, our portfolio also includes convenience stores, three 18 hole PGA-level golf courses, and other unique ventures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event planning and coordination by helping organize event information, timelines, and logistics.
• Support talent buying activities by learning how artists and performers are researched and considered for events.
• Research industry trends, audience interests, and event technology, then summarize findings for the team.
• Learn how teams prepare for concerts, sporting events, and professional development events.
• Learn about safety standards, staff training, and compliance practices used in event operations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in a related field such as event management, production, communications, music, or theater.
• Strong interest in the entertainment and live event industry.
• Good communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Able to research information and share findings clearly.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office.
• Experience with event-related software is a plus.
• Knowledge of industry trends, technology, or safety practices is a plus.
