Responsibilities
- Meets and/or exceeds the expectations of all guests during an event.
- Greets patrons with a smile; Maintains a pleasant attitude while on duty.
- Consistently exhibits courteous, respectful, non-defensive and appropriate communications and presents information in a concise and understandable format.
- Works cooperatively with others, and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Ability to check I.D. on any guest ordering alcohol who look 35 years or younger
- Ability to handle cash and credit card sales, making appropriate change.
- Calculates cash at the end of the shift and returns the bank to the money room clerk or manager on duty.
- Takes tickets or counts patrons as they enter the building; Monitors doors to prevent persons without tickets from entering facilities.
- Assists patrons in finding their seats; Provides directions to various areas of the facilities
- Prepares concessions and replenishes stands as needed.
- Affords assistance to custodians with large scale trash pick-ups after each event.
- Communicates housekeeping and potential hazards to operations staff.
- Participates in training sessions conducted by company.
- Maintains crowd control as necessary.
- Ability to work a varied schedule based on the event calendar.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an educational program pursuing a High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Valid Driver's License or Identification as per State law or requirement.
- May be required to obtain a Liquor License.
Qualifications
- Speak and understand English;
- Read and interpret documents such as instructions, policies and procedures;
- Deal effectively and courteously with the general public;
- Must be familiar with evacuation procedures and patron safety.
Skills
- Possess strong organizational skills;
- Use computers and related software applications;
- Adapt to guest needs/requests;
- Maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment;
- Remain at assigned position until relieved or dismissed;
- Communicate effectively and consistently with Burton staff;
- Follow direction from supervision.

- The employee frequently is required to stand; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Physical strength required to perform assigned tasks.
- Also must be able to climb up and down stairs and stand for extended periods of time.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work outdoors and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
