Evening Shift Supervisor

About the role

This position supervises a shift of production staff at various plants operated by Louis Dreyfus Company, ensuring quality products are produced safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign daily activities to production staff.
• Manage staffing schedules to maintain proper coverage.
• Coordinate production start-ups, shut-downs, and changeovers.
• Respond to production issues and lead investigations.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and recordkeeping.
• Provide required training for employees and monitor their performance.
• Report unsafe working conditions and incidents promptly.
• Conduct shift safety meetings and deliver job-related training.
• Investigate and prepare reports for safety and environmental accidents.
• Coach staff on performance expectations and provide feedback.
• Assist with production functions as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of production/processing experience in an industrial setting, with two years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Preferred: Soybean processing or ethanol industry experience.

Qualifications

• Basic qualification: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
