Responsibilities
- Aid the Director of Nursing in planning all aspects of nursing operations.
- Collaborate with the Administrator, management staff, and consultants to set priorities, coordinate initiatives, and assign responsibilities.
- Ensure a high standard of clinical excellence and compassionate care for residents in the dialysis den.
- Monitor nursing unit activities, communicate policies effectively, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist with coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary processes.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and interdisciplinary medical team members.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess nursing care, coordination with support services, cleanliness, and staff morale, ensuring residents' needs are met.
- Carry out, coordinate, and oversee administrative functions related to Nursing Services to support efficient and compliant operations.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid, unencumbered RN license in this state.
- A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center, or related healthcare setting.
- Supervisory experience with knowledge of leadership principles, staff development, and teaching practices required.
- Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
- Strong team orientation with the ability to lead by example and contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing care facilities.
