Responsibilities

  • Aid the Director of Nursing in planning all aspects of nursing operations.
  • Collaborate with the Administrator, management staff, and consultants to set priorities, coordinate initiatives, and assign responsibilities.
  • Ensure a high standard of clinical excellence and compassionate care for residents in the dialysis den.
  • Monitor nursing unit activities, communicate policies effectively, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist with coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary processes.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and interdisciplinary medical team members.
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess nursing care, coordination with support services, cleanliness, and staff morale, ensuring residents' needs are met.
  • Carry out, coordinate, and oversee administrative functions related to Nursing Services to support efficient and compliant operations.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid, unencumbered RN license in this state.
  • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center, or related healthcare setting.
  • Supervisory experience with knowledge of leadership principles, staff development, and teaching practices required.
  • Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to lead by example and contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing care facilities.
