Description
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for evening cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking of custodial supplies on PCC’s Person Campus. The Evening Porter schedule will overlap with the Day Porters to ensure communication of custodial priorities.
Duties
- Monitor the evening custodial staff and inspect custodial work being performed.
- Communicate any custodial daily priorities, supplies, and scheduling as necessary.
- Cleans, dusts, sweeps, mops and disposes of trash in the campus buildings according to assigned job schedule and needed areas.
- Bathrooms - cleaning and restocking all paper products, soaps, and sanitize daily.
- Attends to janitorial needs daily (food or dirt on floor, wet floor signs placed at entrance when raining, or for any other spill calls that may arise).
- Keep check on building entrances, trash and custodial equipment is properly returned at the end of shift.
- Instruct evening custodial staff on the proper use of cleaning supplies, equipment, and procedures.
- Maintain professional appearance at all times.
Additional Duties
- Aid Maintenance Administrative tasks (Help Desk, Mail, and Delivery)
- Performs other duties as assigned by Director, Facility Services
Qualifications
- Completion of high school/high school equivalency.
- One year of experience in a related field.
Supplemental Information
- Physical Demands: Frequently standing, walking, and kneeling. Must be comfortable working on a step ladder. Occasionally required to lift 25 pounds.
- Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to indoor environment, outdoor environment, noise, moisture and/or humidity, dust, and chemical hazards.
