Evening Janitorial Floater

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Part-Time Janitorial Floater to join our team. Must be available early evenings; 15-25 hours per week. Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record and reliable transportation.

About the role

This position is responsible for creating cleaner and healthier environments for our customer’s buildings and grounds. You will fill in at various locations when extra help is needed, train new employees in cleaning methods, and provide support to our management team.

Responsibilities

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures
• Sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom cleaning, windows, dusting
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Use proper PPE where required
• Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security system as required
• Assist with special projects and tasks
• Train new employees in cleaning methods at various accounts
• Keep equipment clean and in good operating condition
• Follow all safety rules and participate in the company’s safety program
• Adhere to company rules, policies, and operating procedures

Requirements

• Ability to perform hard floor and carpet project work is helpful
• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
• Perform work within production time budgets and supply budgets
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated and proactive individual
• The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace
• Contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable, and on time
• Treat all co-workers and customers with courtesy and respect
