Evening Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for client transport
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time‑management skills; able to juggle multiple duties
• Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times
• Confidence in physical endurance (e.g., carrying groceries, supporting a client)
• Comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints
• Willing and able to comply with state and office‑specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day
• HCACNA license exemption letter with active NAR driver’s license (if applicable)
