Evening Babysitter for Special Needs Child
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and engaged babysitter experienced in caring for a special needs child. The babysitter will watch our active 5-year-old son, who is autistic and has speech delays. He requires close supervision as he tends to explore his environment actively, including trying to open doors and putting objects in his mouth.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the 5-year-old autistic child from 10:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, until 3:00 AM on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Nashville, TN.
- No driving, bathing, or bedtime duties are required, but feeding assistance is expected.
- The babysitter may need to heat meals prepared in advance in the oven or microwave.
- A friendly 8-pound St Charles Cavalier Spaniel will likely be put away during the babysitter's time with us.
Requirements
Close supervision skills, patience, and experience caring for children with special needs, particularly autism and speech delays.
Qualifications
Experience with meal preparation and heating, ability to handle a small dog, and a positive attitude towards special needs care.
