Evening Babysitter for Preschooler

About the role

We are seeking a responsible and energetic evening babysitter for our lively 4‑year‑old boy in New York, NY. You will work alongside a parent or grandparent, who will be available to attend to the 1‑year‑old sibling. Occasional switching between children may occur, but you will not be left alone with them. The children will not be in bed during the sitting hours. No pets are present in the home.

Schedule

Thursday, October 22, 2026, 9:30 PM – Friday, October 23, 2026, 12:30 AM (3 hours).

Responsibilities

• Engage in active floor play: moving Brio trains, building with Legos, and interacting with various toys.
• Prepare a simple dinner (e.g., chicken nuggets, pasta, pre‑cooked leftovers, and fruit).
• Provide attentive supervision and interactive play throughout the shift.
• Collaborate cooperatively with the parent/grandparent who is present in the home.

Requirements

• Enjoys and is comfortable with hands‑on, interactive play with a 4‑year‑old.
• Attentive, responsible, and energetic demeanor.
• Comfortable working in a cooperative setting with family members present.
• Ability to prepare simple meals for a child.
