Evening Babysitter for Children Ages 3 and 9

About the role

We are a local family in Newark, NJ, seeking a reliable evening babysitter for our two children, aged 9 and 3.

Schedule

• Position starts Friday, October 16, 2026 at 9:45 PM and ends Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 12:00 AM.
• Ongoing need: 3‑4 weeknights each week, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with occasional weekend shifts.
• Hours are regular on the same nights each week.

Responsibilities

• Engage and play with the children.
• Serve dinner that will be prepared in advance.
• Maintain a calm environment until the mother returns home.

Requirements

• Age 16 years or older.
• Experience caring for toddlers (and older children).
• Dependable and able to provide references.
• Have own transportation.
• CPR and first‑aid certification are a plus.
• College students welcome; hours fit around class schedules.
