EV Diesel & Automotive Travel Technician

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled EV Diesel & Auto Travel Technician to join our team in Fontana, CA. This role primarily supports light-duty to heavy-duty EVs across the West Coast, with up to 10 days of travel at a time. When not traveling, you’ll work out of the Fontana shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty EV vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
• Work closely with Fleet Managers and Senior Fleet Managers during non-travel weeks at client shops.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience performing EV repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting heavy objects, accessing tight spaces, bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling).
• Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical if required for the role.

Working Conditions

Pay

$36.00 - $42.00/hour (based on experience), paid weekly every Friday.

Schedule

Monday - Friday (flexible with some weekend travel required). Up to 100% travel time, with potential for short-notice schedule changes.
