Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/data pipelines
- Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures
- Develop data integration and transformation solutions using AWS services
- Create and maintain data quality, validation, and monitoring processes
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot data processing issues
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements
- Implement secure and compliant data management practices
- Support CI/CD, deployment automation, and workflow orchestration
- Prepare technical documentation and mentor junior team members
Required Skills
- 5+ years of ETL/Data Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
- Experience with AWS services: AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, RDS, Athena, DocumentDB, Lake Formation, Step Functions, MWAA
- Experience with Apache Spark or distributed computing frameworks
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and relational databases
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB/OpenSearch/DocumentDB
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures
- Healthcare or public sector experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
