Etch Equipment Technician - Days
Position Summary
As a Samsung Austin Semiconductor Etch Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic.
Role And Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively.
- Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
- Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
- Teamwork and Communication: Able to work well in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout organization.
Skills And Qualifications
- Any 2-year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc); 3+ ASE certs or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience (no cert, passes test) or 4 years equivalent technical Military service
- Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
- Highly capable in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes also required
- Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills
- Focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment
- Familiar with TPM concepts
- High attention to detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, team work and flexibility
- Able to meet due dates for action items
- Able to strictly adhere to SOPs
- Able to work off-hours if necessary
- Electro-mechanical aptitude, Basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity
Pay And Benefits
The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour - $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
Day Shifts Include: A Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays
C Shift – Thursday through Saturday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays
