Responsibilities

  • Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure successful bidding and project winning.
  • Aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received.
  • Work with Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.
  • Review bid requirements for projects under $500K, ensuring all aspects are documented and accounted for.

Requirements

  • Produce highly accurate work in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A strong understanding and comfort working with numbers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from a 4-year college or university.
  • 5-8 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Utility construction experience highly preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and assist other team members without management responsibilities.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $111,000 - $167,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position. Pay will be determined based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from a 4-year college or university.
  • 5-8 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Utility construction experience highly preferred.
  • Valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
