Responsibilities
- Read and analyze technical plans/specifications and assist team by incorporating those requirements in the estimate
- Produce reliable, complete, consistent, well-documented, and timely quantity surveys of assigned items
- Generate design development estimates, providing quantities and components based on incomplete plans and specifications. Assist in the development of complete project quantities based upon schematic level plans and elevations
- Conduct organized sub and vendor solicitation while accurately communicating the required scope of work
- Ensure complete trade coverage is obtained and advise project lead of potential solicitation shortfalls
- Assist in the preparation of bid-day spreadsheets and detailed proposal tabulation sheets (Bid Tickets), including any custom client cost breakdown/schedule of values
- Assist in projecting pricing based on historical data and adjusting pricing as needed to allow for project conditions
- Review trade proposals and scope letters as received to identify gaps and overlaps in scope of work
- Prepare the final estimate for rollover to the job cost accounting system, adjusted to meet project team's needs for cost management
- Prepare cost analysis reports and be mindful of value analysis opportunities throughout the estimating process
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry
- Experience with mechanical estimates is highly preferred
- Degree in a construction-related field is desired

- Experience with Procore and Bluebeam is a plus
