Estimator I

Summary

Mortenson is seeking an Estimator I in their Power Delivery Services Group. The position involves gathering, calculating, and compiling data to produce project estimates, preparing vendor proposal comparisons, and supporting lead estimators. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

- Build Project Estimates - Complete quantity take-offs and summations of materials - Solicit trade partners, obtain bid estimates, and time projections - Prepare Request for Proposal documents and schedules - Determine pricing options and appropriate prices for projects - Input data into estimating software programs - Archive filing and gather historical cost data - Participate in plan and estimate review meetings - Gather information from local government and private entities affecting projects - Manage Addendum log and documents from customers/clients - Provide guidance to new estimators and interns - Solicit new bidders and collect necessary documents for future projects - Train other estimators and interns

Qualifications

- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience - Minimum one-year construction operations experience, including materials management and project operations - Current driver’s license - Detail-oriented to organize and handle multiple project tasks - Mathematical skills sufficient for the job - Familiarity with building/estimating techniques and software: ISqFt, ICE/Bid2Win, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam/PDF, Google Earth - Positive professional attitude and strong customer service skills - Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies

Additional Information

- Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. - The base pay range for this role is $78,800 - $98,500, with higher ranges for certain locations. - The position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan. - Mortenson reserves the right to hire any individual without legal or financial obligation on unwanted solicitations.
