Position Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

Obtains, calculates, and compiles data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates.

  • Prepares routine estimates under general supervision.
  • Supports the development of bidding strategies by debriefing the salesperson of job elements.
  • Leads the documentation management of the project, ensuring all documents are complete and clearly conveys decisions made to sales and operations teams.
  • Attends pre-bid meetings to discuss project specifics and scope.
  • Participates in bid closings and estimate reviews.
  • Balances workload and assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Develops a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient.
  • Manages action items from Post Bid and finalizes ISEC scope.
  • Computes cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, production activities and requirements, and labor.

Education/Experience

  • Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum Qualifications: 0 – 4 years of experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
    • Bids are accurate and profitable.
    • Basic knowledge of ISEC products, services, processes and projects.
    • Understands project plans and specifications.
    • Independently performs most assignments with instruction.
    • Works autonomously at times.
    • Sets seeks guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards.
    • Engages in company culture.
    • Open to feedback and flexible to change.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
    • Efficient written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong prioritization and organizational skills, detail-oriented.
