Estimator, Heavy Civil - Michels Construction, Inc.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings
• Attend pre-bid meetings
• Solicit material and subcontractor quotes
• Ensure all requirements for successful bidding and project winning are met
• Work with Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or equivalent
• 3+ years of related heavy civil construction estimating experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software (HCSS, B2W)
• Negotiation experience
• Valid driver license for relevant vehicle types and acceptable driving record
• Able to travel approximately 25% for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meetings
