Estimator Co-Op

Job Summary

Supports the Sales and Estimating teams by preparing detailed labor and material estimates for custom unitized curtain wall projects. Responsible for compiling comprehensive material take-offs for all scope items manufactured by Pioneer and developing budget proposals in response to client requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Estimating to develop efficient, cost-effective solutions that align with contract specifications.
• Analyze project scope to determine the quantity and type of materials required to meet design and performance criteria.
• Support Estimators with detailed take-offs for all materials and accessories related to Pioneer-manufactured scope items.
• Aid in soliciting and evaluating material supplier quotes for outsourced components, including clarifications and side-by-side comparisons.
• Cook up coordination of subcontractor and vendor outreach, tracking outstanding quotes and responses.
• Contribute to the preparation of budget proposals under supervision, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
• Participate in special project teams and support additional estimating-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science or a related technical field (completed or in progress) preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Collaborative team player with a focus on achieving shared goals.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
