Murphy Company is hiring an Estimator for their Estimating team based in Thornton, CO. Responsibilities

• Lead all estimates up to $1M on projects in Plumbing, HVAC, and Process Piping of Institutional, Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Brewery, Healthcare, and Industrial related projects.
• Work under guidance of a Senior Estimator on larger projects.
• Manage multiple, simultaneous projects.
• Read and understand drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor.
• Understand construction field conditions, means and methods, and project schedules.
• Preferred experience with Quickpen / Autobid software, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam.

Requirements

• 1-5+ years Estimator experience in Plumbing, HVAC, and Process Piping of Institutional, Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Brewery, Healthcare, and Industrial related projects.
• Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects.
• Skilled in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor.
• Understanding construction field conditions, means and methods, and project schedules.
• Preferred Quickpen / Autobid software experience, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Responsible for soliciting, evaluating, and preparing bid proposals in the most attractive manner to general contractors and owners.
