About the role

The Estimator plays a crucial role in Bartos Industries by reviewing plans and specifications, preparing accurate quotes and estimates, and supporting sales teams with technical product details.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to prepare accurate quotes and estimates.
• Analyze construction processes, schedules, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support Outside Sales Engineers by assisting with equipment product selections and value engineering options.
• Enter customer and product information into company systems with a high degree of accuracy.
• Provide pricing and product information to internal teams and customers.
• Communicate daily with internal team members and vendors; limited external customer contact.
• Use computer-based pricing and selection tools to prepare bids and proposals.
• Perform administrative tasks related to project management, including order processing and documentation.
• Maintain a professional customer service demeanor while balancing multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical/industrial training preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of related training, education, or relevant experience (or a combination of the three).
• Strong math, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• A basic understanding of HVAC mechanical equipment and concepts preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn new programs and tools.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent accuracy in work.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bid deadlines independently.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
