Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create and manage estimates effectively.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
- Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of construction to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Review contracts and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing changes, and new materials or methods in construction.
Qualifications
- Must have conceptual estimating experience on midsized to large commercial building tenant improvement projects.
- Must have a 4-year degree in an accredited construction or architecture related curriculum, such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar (BA, BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.).
- Must have a minimum of 7 years' experience in Project Management/Preconstruction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, scheduling, estimating, contract administration, and project controls.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the areas: estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, financial reporting, client relationship, interpersonal skills, computer skills, ability to communicate, both written and oral, leadership and organizational skills.
- This position requires the application of specialized knowledge in construction management and engineering principles to coordinate and support complex commercial construction projects.
- Proficient in PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications. These include: Timberline, Procore, Excel, Word.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required.

Pay
$120,000 - $220,000 based on experience
