Estimating Manager- Mechanical
About the role
This position is responsible for providing estimating support, overall management, and responsibility for a specific region. This role also allocates resources to appropriate parties to ensure customer service, quality, timeliness, and success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or
- 2 to 4 years of electrical estimating experience along with previous management experience or
- 5 years of electrical estimating experience and previous management experience
Travel: up to 25%
Schedule
This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday–Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Determines bid priorities and selects potential bid projects by utilizing BidSmart, bid strategies of the particular region, and input of the Executive Vice President, Group Managers, or Project Managers.
- Establishes, maintains, and follows up on bid schedules to ensure timely and accurate completion of estimates.
- Works with Executive Vice President (EVP), Director of Estimating, Group Managers, and Project Managers to establish bid strategies for each branch.
- Coordinates multiple estimates simultaneously as well as has the review responsibility for multiple and/or large estimates.
- Maintains CRM and historical cost data.
- Participates in the overall development and implementation of Faith Technologies estimating standards and best practices.
- Initiates job start-up meetings and post-bid review meetings with Project Managers and other appropriate parties.
- Integrates electrical and specialty systems estimates. Showcases the total capabilities of the organization by identifying and estimating other service offerings.
- Provides ongoing mentoring and training of regional estimators. Develops and evaluates direct reports.
- Monitors regional estimators performance as it relates to estimating performance metrics.
- Monitors all upcoming regional projects available and assigns the appropriate branch and/or vertical subgroup to projects.
- Works with Director of Estimating in scheduling of regional estimating resources.

- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
