Estimating Engineer

What Will You Do

• Independently sets priorities and executes tasks.
• Leverage appropriate processes to complete work efficiently.
• Coincides schedule and logistics for assigned projects.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
• Ensures that estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
• Reviews and analyzes project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to understand the scope of work and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepares and submits competitive bids for projects, working closely with the project management and procurement teams.
• Obtains and evaluates quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and availability of materials.
• Identifies potential risks and uncertainties in the project scope and incorporates appropriate contingencies in the cost estimates.
• Maintains and updates cost estimates as the project progresses, ensuring that the project remains within budget.
• Works closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align estimates with project goals and deliverables.
• Prepares and presents cost reports, analyses, and recommendations to management and clients.
• Stays updated on industry trends, cost-effective materials, and new technologies to improve the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimation.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience (including co-op and internships).
• Skilled computer and AutoCAD skills.
