Esthetician - Reserve
Role: The Esthetician is a key contributor to the Spa Aquae experience, delivering personalized, results-driven skincare services that uphold JW Marriott’s standards of luxury and service excellence. This role anticipates guest needs, performs treatments in accordance with established protocols, and enhances the overall guest experience through expert consultations, service and retail recommendations, and a strong focus on achieving sales and satisfaction goals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive range of spa services with expertise and professionalism, utilizing proper draping techniques to ensure guest comfort, privacy, and safety.
- Conduct thorough guest consultations by clearly explaining treatment procedures, techniques, and any pre- or post-service instructions.
- Provide attentive, personalized care with a high level of respect, sensitivity, and professionalism to meet and exceed guest expectations.
- Adhere strictly to enhanced sanitation and safety standards established by the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology and Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy.
- Perform services within scope of practice in alignment with Spa Aquae standards, including but not limited to facials, makeup application, brow and lash tinting, face and body waxing, and body treatments, consistently delivering high-quality, results-driven services.
- Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and treatment protocols to ensure innovative and effective service delivery.
- Manage and monitor professional product usage in accordance with established PAR levels to minimize waste and support operational efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing training, product knowledge sessions, and all required team meetings to maintain and enhance technical and service skills.
- Maintain readiness and competency to perform all assigned services at the highest standard.
- Consistently strive to achieve or exceed retail sales goals, with a target of at least 15% through product recommendations and guest education.
- Actively promote and upsell spa treatments, enhancements, and retail products to elevate the guest experience and drive revenue.
- Support spa operations by fulfilling all reasonable requests and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a licensed esthetician, preferably in a spa or salon environment.
- Proven ability to deliver customized skincare services and perform facials, treatments, and consultations.
- Experience providing exceptional guest service with a focus on building relationships and repeat clientele.
- Prior experience in retail sales and product recommendations, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Valid Nevada Esthetician License required (issued by the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology).

- Familiarity with spa booking and POS software for efficient scheduling and transactions.
- Proven ability to upsell services and retail products to enhance guest experience and revenue.
- Knowledge of current wellness trends, skincare products, and therapeutic practices.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills for diverse clientele.

- Reading and interpreting schedules, instructions, policies, safety documents, and product labels, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Understanding and complying with all company policies, procedures, and daily operational communications.
- Safely handling and being exposed to cleaning agents, disinfectants, and other chemical products in accordance with safety standards.
Work is performed in a spa environment and in other locations throughout the property. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can increase to loud when on the casino floor. Smoking is permitted in casino areas consistent with Nevada state regulations.
