Esthetician/Cosmetologist

About the role

At Waxing the City, licensed service providers are trained as Certified Cerologists™ after a week‑long hands‑on course at Waxing University®. They combine wax expertise with education to become authorities in the field. The role focuses on building strong client relationships through excellent service, sharing waxing benefits and product trends, and growing both technically and professionally in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement customer service standards for internal and external clients, aiming to exceed expectations from initial inquiry to ongoing relationship management.
• Maintain a clean and professional environment.
• Provide efficient, effective, high‑quality service following defined waxing service standards.
• Support and protect the salon culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned in the spirit of teamwork.
• Follow safety standards in all aspects of job performance.
• Report to the salon manager/salon lead and indirectly to ownership, adhering to service provisions and sanitation standards.
• Meet established service protocols and customer service standards for internal and external customers.
• Inform and educate clients on service offerings, retail products, and membership programs.
• Build and retain clients through social media, community engagement, and marketing initiatives.

Requirements

• Current State Licensure (Esthetician or Cosmetologist)
• Passion for waxing and the beauty industry
• Time management skills
• Strong communication skills
