About Dr. Asongtia Ntonghawah
Affectionately known as Dr. A, Dr. Asongtia Ntonghawah is a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychiatry and family health. With a unique focus on psychodermatology, Dr. A bridges the connection between mental health and skin health—helping patients understand how stress, anxiety, and emotional factors can affect physical wellness and appearance.
Dr. A has extensive experience treating patients across all ages, from children as young as four to older adults. Her career has spanned community health centers, inpatient and outpatient clinics, and residential treatment facilities, where she has supported individuals navigating mental health challenges, behavioral disorders, and substance abuse.
Her approach is both holistic and evidence-based, ensuring that each patient receives individualized care that promotes emotional stability and physical renewal. Dr. A continually advances her expertise through ongoing education in psychiatry, psychosomatic disorders, and emerging therapies.
As a certified NeuroStar TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) specialist, she provides a safe, non-drug, and FDA-cleared treatment for depression and other behavioral health conditions. Patients under Dr. A’s care value her empathy, professionalism, and dedication to helping them achieve peace of mind and improved overall wellness.
