Responsibilities
- Monitor and review the performance of ESSHQ processes and KPIs.
- Provide support and consulting to all plant departments on ESSHQ matters.
- Initiate lessons learned programs to enhance safety and optimize ESSHQ initiatives.
- Ensure the transfer and implementation of ESSHQ requirements from Evonik and BL Catalysts to the site.
- Identify and address ESSHQ compliance risks in alignment with corporate standards and policies.
- Serve as a functional expert/resource for the LR site.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Safety, Environmental, or related equivalent technical degree required.
- 3-5+ years of Safety experience in industrial/chemical plant environment required.
- Well-developed oral and written communications/presentation skills (target audiences: employees; plant and global management and supervision; senior management; government regulatory agency representatives; third parties; and the general public).
- Technical ability/knowledge to review and evaluate environmental regulations and summarize proposed changes to management.
- Supervise and lead direct reports so that ongoing environmental compliance occurs.
- At least 3 years of experience with ISO requirements.
