ESSA - Instructional Assistant / Special Programs Instructional Assistant - Bilingual - Eyre

To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program for students, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and bilingual education settings. Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish and English; a bilingual assessment will be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform instructional activities in support of the prescribed lesson plan.
• Assist in providing a safe, healthy environment for students.
• Perform a variety of general clerical duties.

Requirements

• Must meet ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) proficiency requirements in reading, writing, and math. Documentation required.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Bilingual assessment will be required.

Pay

• General Instructional Assistant: $20.72 - $26.56 per hour (4 hours per day).
• Special Programs Instructional Assistant, Bilingual: $24.03 - $30.65 per hour (2 hours per day).

Schedule

• 6 hours per day.
• 188 days per year.
• Temporary position with benefits.
