About the role
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program for students to perform instructional activities in support of the prescribed lesson plan; assisting in providing a safe, healthy environment for students; and performing a variety of general clerical duties. This position is focused on a Kindergarten‑first grade blended classroom as well as recess/lunch supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist the licensed teacher in planning and implementing the educational program.
- Support students in performing instructional activities aligned with the prescribed lesson plan.
- Help maintain a safe and healthy environment for students.
- Perform general clerical duties as needed.
- Provide recess and lunch supervision.
Requirements
ESSA documentation is required. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and math as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act for paraprofessionals in Title I‑funded schools. Official transcripts and/or test results must be attached to the application for verification.
Pay
Hourly range: $20.72 – $26.56.
Schedule
Position type: Classified. Hours per day: 6.50. Number of days per year: 179. Employment status: Temporary.
