ESP Shift Supervisor, (part-time) Florence
Job Summary
CSO is seeking a part-time Shift Supervisor for our CBHC (Community Behavioral Health Center) Emergency Services Program (ESP) in Florence. The position involves leadership and coordination functions for the counseling staff, as well as fulfilling regular counselor duties.
Location and Schedule
The position is located in Florence and operates on the 2nd shift.
Compensation
The starting salary range is $25,800 - $28,800 per year.
Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship for new employees in orientation, serving as a role model for other program staff
- Coordinate food purchasing and menu planning including assistance with shopping lists, purchase and delivery, and organization/storage of food supplies under supervision of director; coordinate with nursing staff and Director regarding general and specific nutritional needs of the residents
- Review and file of observation check sheets, building check sheets and MABHA entries daily. Report discrepancies to manager
- Establish a 1:1 therapeutic relationship with each program client, providing support and safety for clients utilizing the program
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including self-care, cooking, recreation, and medication responsibilities according to individual treatment plans
- Function as an active member of the Respite Treatment Team, on a day-to-day basis, in the therapeutic setting including attending staff meetings; rotating shifts, as needed; charting and reporting on daily records; maintaining knowledge of patient's treatment plan
- Monitor respite clients, including hourly bed checks and documentation, and provide closer observation as needed
- Share observations, interactions, and knowledge to develop 24-hour care plans
- Attend change of shift meetings and provide shift report on client activities and mental status
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Two years' experience working with mentally ill individuals (preferred) or two years of supervised internship or field placement experience at a human service agency
- High school diploma with a minimum of five years' experience may be substituted
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
