ESOP Payment Specialist I
About the role
Use your ESOP knowledge to help employees across the country build financial independence. At Blue Ridge Associates, we help people build lasting financial security through Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) and 401(k) services.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the various steps of the distribution payment process including communicating with ESOP participants, preparing distribution forms, opening and closing distribution payment windows, and processing check reissues.
- The team is based out of our Charlottesville, Virginia office. This position will be required as full time on-site at the Charlottesville office for the first 90 days of employment with the possibility of having a hybrid or remote schedule afterward.
Requirements
- Achieve proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Show strong interpersonal skills and good customer service skills.
- Be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple demands during the workday.
- Have experience with mail merging (preferred).
- Be willing to learn new information and software.
- Handle complexity and use critical thinking skills.
- Show effective time management and organization skills.
- Have previous experience working in an administrative setting (plus for remote work).
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with defined contribution plans, ESOPs preferred (bonus qualification for remote work).

Pay
The base hourly range for this position is $24- $31. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role, relevant experience, work location, education and training, key skills, internal equity, external market data, and current business considerations.
Schedule
This position will be required as full time on-site at the Charlottesville office for the first 90 days of employment with the possibility of having a hybrid or remote schedule afterward.
