Responsibilities

• Model effective teaching strategies for/with classroom teachers with debriefing time to work with teachers.
• Provide coaching to classroom teachers in order to improve English language acquisition and instruction.
• Aid teachers in developing model lesson plans, curriculum development and implementation, district initiatives/resources.
• Develop and conduct staff development for classroom teachers and bilingual education paraprofessionals in specified English language acquisition strategies, best practices and specific instructional resources.
• Conduct Data Conferences with classroom teachers to interpret data and plan instruction.
• Absorb any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Education, ESL, or related field.

Experience working with English Language Learners preferred.

Knowledge of state and federal guidelines for ELL programs.

Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid Florida Driver’s License.
